Institute of Medicine manages multiple academic departments, each responsible for publishing and maintaining its own content, notices, academic updates, and results. The existing website was built on WordPress and faced several challenges, including security vulnerabilities, slow performance, and content management limitations that made it difficult to support the institution’s growing needs.
The organization required a complete digital transformation that would improve website security, increase loading speed, streamline content management across departments, and provide students with easier access to notices, results, and academic information.
Our Approach
After evaluating the existing platform, we recommended moving away from WordPress and rebuilding the website using a modern technology stack with Laravel as the backend CMS and Next.js for the frontend. This approach provided a more secure, scalable, and high-performance foundation while delivering significantly faster page loads and an improved user experience.
One of the project’s primary challenges was managing content across multiple academic departments. Since each department maintains its own notices, announcements, publications, and academic information, we implemented a robust role-based access control system with customized user roles and authentication. This allows department administrators to independently manage their content while maintaining centralized control and security.
Another key requirement was improving how students access academic notices and examination results. We developed an advanced filtering system that enables users to quickly find relevant information using criteria such as:

- Program or Discipline
- Academic Category
- Modality
- Department
- Examination Type
- Publication Date
The platform was further optimized with modern SEO practices, responsive design, streamlined navigation, and an intuitive content management experience that simplifies day-to-day administrative tasks.

The new Institute of Medicine platform delivers a secure, fast, and scalable digital experience tailored to the institution’s operational requirements. By replacing the legacy WordPress website with a Laravel and Next.js architecture, the platform achieves significantly improved performance, stronger security, and greater long-term maintainability.
