The real name of Bhupi Sherchan was Bhupendraman Sherchan. He was born on the 12th of 1992, B. S. Paush (14 May 1937), in Thak Tukuche, Mustang. He was Subba Hitman Sherchan and Padmakumari Sherchan’s youngest son. When he was only six years old, his mother passed away.
Bhupi Sherchan is a Nepal poet born in the Mustang district. The individual attended Banares College. He received the Sajha Puraskar in 1969 for his poetry collection Ghumne Mech Mathi Andho Mancha (blind man in a swivel chair).
The most successful poet in popularizing free verse was Bhupi Sherchan. He has conducted various analyses of human beings and human life. But his most significant contribution to Nepalese society is that, through his numerous poems, he has attempted to guide the younger generation.
