Vacancy for: WordPress Theme Developer

We are hiring WordPress Theme Developer to build our premium WordPress theme, As our products are growing, we are seeking for new team members to join our company. Please send us your previously developed WordPress themes for reference.

Qualifications Required 

• University Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent in relevant stream
• Minimum 2 years of professional work experience in WordPress Theme Development

Skills Required 

• In-depth knowledge of WordPress functionality, including themes, plugins, hooks, and custom post types.
• Proficiency in writing clean, semantic HTML and CSS code. Understand responsive web design principles and be able to create pixel-perfect layouts.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and jQuery to enhance the interactivity of WordPress themes. Knowledge of AJAX for dynamic content loading is also valuable.
• Strong understanding of PHP programming language and its integration with WordPress. You should be able to develop custom WordPress themes and templates using PHP.
• Ability to develop WordPress themes from scratch or modify existing themes. Understand theme frameworks and starter themes like Underscores, Sage, or _s.
• Knowledge of WordPress template hierarchy, including template files and their relationship to different parts of the website.
• Proficiency in customizing WordPress themes using actions, filters, and custom fields. Ability to create and modify theme options panels for easy customization
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git to manage codebase and collaborate with other developers.
• Understanding of techniques to optimize WordPress themes for speed and performance, such as minification, caching, and lazy loading.
• Ensure that your themes work consistently across different web browsers and devices by testing and addressing any compatibility issues
• Ability to identify and fix common WordPress errors and issues, including theme conflicts and plugin compatibility problems.
• Familiarity with user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles to create intuitive and user-friendly themes.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and ability to implement accessible design and development practices.
• Understanding of basic search engine optimization (SEO) techniques and best practices for WordPress themes, such as optimized code structure and meta tags.
• Proficient in writing clear and concise documentation for themes and effectively communicating with clients or team members.

Skills Preferred 

• Experience using PHP, MySQL, Apache, IIS Server
• SEO best practices and good working knowledge of Google Analytics and Tag Manager
• Ability to test and debug your own code in multiple browsers, devices
• Ability to take design files and convert them to HTML / CSS
• Understanding of coding best practices ensuring all code is learned, bug-free, and semantically correct including compliance with WCAG 2.0 AA and AAA where possible and W3C validation.
• Experts in the installation and configuration of WordPress
• Strong software engineering skills, can design and implement software projects from the ground up.
• Basic understanding of Github.
• Basic knowledge of REST API, Gutenberg, and Elementor.
